On a normal day in the office, I don't always get to wear my favorite boots or outfits, but these boots were made for walking - right into the ice cream parlor!
Nicholas asked me to officially be his girlfriend on Valentine's Day in 2014 and since then we always try to do a little something to celebrate the beginning of our love story. Of course, we have a wedding anniversary now, so we tend to until the 15th and run away for at least a few hours of adventure!
I'm very lucky to have a husband who supports my shoe collection - and my love of heels! He also is supportive of my love for ice cream despite not having a sweet tooth himself.
Life is too short, wear the boots!
Date Night Details
I had been dreaming of a hot fudge brownie sundae from Bruster's since December, and oh my goodness - the day was finally here! Although it had been raining the past few days, God graced us with only cloudy weather. What that meant for me, was Nicholas needed to grab the camera because I was going to be busting out some boots! To get ready for our married date night, I always turn on a playlist to bring out the best in me while in the bathroom to let the self-pampering begin! After all ladies, date night is just as much for you as it is for them!
As a personal style preference, most of my favorite outfit consists of red and black - this is partially due to my red lip obsession. ;)
This outfit consisted of some of my absolute favorites I don't get to wear while working in a corporate office every day, meaning my favorite red lip, favorite leather jacket, and one of my favorite thigh-high leather boots. (In my mind always feel like I sound a little bit like Megamind when he talks about his custom leather boots. Does anyone else remember that?)
Let me tell you - that day, I could barely contain myself going out for ice cream! I was feeling tall and powerful, I'd say it was the extra five inches my heels lent me, and so in love. After all, love is sharing your hot fudge brownie sundae.
